In Raleigh, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across North Carolina, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. My daughter and I decided to check this place out since we're always on the hunt for new (to us) coffee shops. The atmosphere, service and coffee were all awesome! They do have some plant milk options for this of you who are vegan like myself. They do have some pastry options, but none of them are gluten free and vegan. They did have one or two gluten free options though, for those of you who aren't vegan. Overall, we greatly enjoyed it and plan to go back next time we're in the area.

I really wanted to like this place. But my Americano tasted like it was made with a reused puck - it was tasteless. The mushroom cheesecake was very aesthetically pleasing and I will give props to the beautiful craft, however I was disappointed. I’m not sure if any real cheesecake was used. It was very gelatinous. The white chocolate stem and brownie base were delicious but it didn’t make up for the overall let down. Can’t complain about the price because I can appreciate the time and effort that went into creating the dish, but it’s really just meant to please the eyes and not the tastebuds.

Yesterday morning I had a pleasure to stopped by the ldle Hour Coffee Roaster! WoW…. Incredible it was a wonderful experience at Idle. The decorations were beyond stellar, the ambience was delightful and calm. I was in a bit of rush because of my 10 minutes parking lot so I stopped in for a quick order to go. I was very impressed with the staff their service was excellent and very professional. I’m ordered to go 11 cake, 1 Vietnamese ice coffee, 1 Cappuccino for my wife & I. The cake was super delicious just as good as they look not too sweet and the coffee was made perfectly. The masterpiece cake is Granny Smith Apple, Key Lime Pie, Black Forest Cake With fresh Cherries in Center I’m blow away by the Mushroom Cake this was a great surprise with fresh Raspberries inside, all of their cake was so good melted in my mouth. Not too sweet and super delicious. I’ve never had anything this good, that was perfection!!! All of their cake excellent quality and fresh ingredients the presentation with attention to details was gorgeous. Thank you so much the master baking chef you’re incredible that was the most delicious pastry I’ve ever had thank you for such a delicious treat I’m blow away.

This place was so cute. We got two lattes, the blueberry was great in the spring. They have local food vendors like tepuy donuts and breakfast sandwiches. They had a fair amount of seating but on the weekends I’m sure that fills up fast. Around four outside tables. There is a small parking lot to the side of the building. We went on a Sunday at 9:45 and parked and sat no problem but it was getting busy as we left. The barista was very nice and welcoming. Will be back!

2nd time visiting this coffee shop. Similar experience both times. Cute shop but the coffee is so bitter! I love trying local coffee shops but I won’t be back to this one unfortunately. I ordered a small iced americano with (homemade) gingerbread syrup and creamer. I also wanted to order a large hot coffee but they were out of drip coffee…once I tasted my americano I asked for more gingerbread syrup and even with that it remained bitter you could barely taste the syrup. I added more simple syrup and cinnamon and it did nothing to hide the bitterness. I’m not one for super sweet coffee but I was trying to hide the bitterness. Perhaps their matcha or chai is better
